HR Agility Assessment
Comparative Agility is the world’s largest agility assessment instrument with:
- Over 14,000 companies in 84 countries across all continents
- More than 70,000 unique respondents
- Over 3.5 million data points across 14 major industries
Their data-driven approach to continuous improvement strategies at multiple organizational levels through knowledge and domain-specific intelligence is unparalleled. Comparative Agility identifies opportunities and challenges across proven factors, allowing you to gather the insights you need to create continuous improvement across all levels of your organization.
Our Comparative HR Agility Assessment is no exception to these high standards of data collection. The newly released survey has been created by domain experts, verified by data scientists, and tested by HR departments across industries and countries. The assessment has a total of 47 questions across the dimensions of culture, talent, engagement, performance, and foundation.
How do I get started?
There are two ways to get started: you can either set it up yourself, or you can reach out to us for a guided assessment.
The survey is easy to set up, and on average, only takes 15 minutes to fill out. To set up, you will need to decide on the survey groups or “collectors” as Comparative Agility defines them. For example, a collector is a group of people whose answers will be clustered. So, you may have HR Business Partners as a collector and Corporate HR as another.
Not interested in setting it up yourself? No problem. JLS offers a guided HR agility assessment. We will set up the survey for you, guide you through the data collection and analysis and we will discuss the results with you.
No matter which option you choose, the Comparative Agility platform is easy to use and customizable so you can structure your organization in a way that makes sense for your unique context. As your organization changes, you may easily evolve your setup by dragging and dropping your structure while maintaining all original data.
The survey can be conducted within HR only or, you may invite a larger group of participants to capture the input from other units and compare their responses to the ones from HR. Both options offer valuable insight; however, we recommend you invite insights from groups outside of HR. The data points gathered from units outside of HR will paint a more holistic picture of where you are truly at in your agile journey.
What’s in it for me?
Through this curated and statistically validated survey, your organization will collect anonymous data from team members reflecting meaningful norms, behaviors, and practices in a variety of contexts. The data provides leaders with the ability to:
- Benchmark how key areas of the organization are doing compared to the competition
- The ability to drive strategic direction and know where to focus.
- Quickly identify how the organization, programs, and teams are doing compared to a previous point in time.

Remember, Agile is not something you become – it is something you become more of. Foster a culture of data-driven continuous improvement by repeating the process every 3-6 months.
